Citroën e-SpaceTourer MPV 100kW Max XL [8 Seat] 75kWh 5dr Auto Owner Review

100kW Max XL [8 Seat] 75kWh 5dr Auto

In their own words

We've owned the car since it was new, which was about 7 weeks ago. For the vast majority of that time the car has been back at the Citroën garage due to numerous faults which are still undiagnosed. We have the 75kw long wheel base version on a 25 plate. We waited 9 months for delivery and then had a few motorbility alterations made.

Faults that have shown on the car are: parking brake fault, collision detection system not available, esp/asr system fault, lane keeping assist not available.
We've also had the car beeping us to say we're breaking a speed limit - it thinks the limit in some roads is 5 mph. The whole central display console has also blanked out. We've been told this is a common fault with no known solution. We have had the system computer replaced which took 3 weeks, but new faults came up the following day and the car is now back in the garage.

The positive is that we we given a VW Multivan by our insurance (Citroën were not at all interested in providing a courtesy car) and the VW is excellent! Super efficient on diesel which works out cheaper that the electric Citroën, and it works!

Range
Before leaving the showroom, we were shown how to change between the different modes with eco showing 230 miles, standard being 220 and power making 210 miles. We have only had it set to standard and would probably make about 190 on a full charge in optimal conditions. This is very disappointing.

Internal
Inside the car is one of the higher specs with leather seats. But features are still limited. We have heated seats and steering wheel, but seat adjustment is manual. The car also doesn't have an alarm.

Seats arrangement is a 2/1 split on the middle and back row. They are easy to slide forwards and backwards and to fold forward for access to the back. A good feature is how easy these seats can be removed. Just one pulled tab and it comes out. Simple to return as well.

The motor sliding side doors are also a good feature and can be operated by the key.

Boot space wasn't as good as our Ford Galaxy when the rear row of seats is in.

Other bits
Acceleration is slooooow as is response when putting your foot on the accelerator.

Storage space is also lacking considering the size. There's nothing between the front seats... an optional sliding console costing around £800.
